"The Merle" is named after the matriarch of the Pike family - Merle Pike. Unfortunately Merle passed away recently and will not get to see her name on this beautiful wine. She did, however, know that her name was going onto the label and was quietly chuffed to know this.

Our reserve riesling is made using the finest grapes from the vintage. It displays delicate, yet complex flavours and shows the unique characteristics of Polish Hill River.

Color: Brilliant pale green Aroma: Pristine aromas of lemon, limes and grapefruit with a hint of of slatey mineral character evident. Palate: Really fine pure Riesling fruit and clean crisp acidity ensuring a long life ahead. Summary: Great now for those who enjoy crisp young whites but a decade in the cellar under screwcaps will not hurt it a bit.
