Winery Region:Barossa Valley
"Quite incredible to see an aged release from a premium wine region for under $20. I’d say that 2003 was a pretty ordinary vintage in the Barossa but there are always exceptions.
This is dark and earthy with black fruit, plum, mint, chocolate and toasty oak. It smells very much like a product of both the region and vintage. On the palate full bodied with rich black fruit, dark chocolate, mint and earthy tarry flavours with vanilla oak in support. Smooth fine grained tannins and some warm alcohol. It had good balance and texture and rolls over the palate nice and easy. Good finish of blackfruit and bruised mint. Good stuff."
