Winery Region:Barossa Valley
Robert Parker Rating:91
RP 91 points: Deep garnet-purple colored, the Greenock Creek’s 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of crushed black currants, ripe blackberries, Mediterranean herbs, graphite & black pepper with an earthy undercurrent of tree bark & damp soil. Very full-bodied & rich at 16% declared alcohol, it’s supported by medium-firm fine grained tannins & crisp acid. It has great persistence with an earthy finale & a little lingering heat. It’s approachable now though still very primary & should evolve a few more layers in a year or two, drinking to 2018+.
