Nicely aged Coonawarra cabernet. 95% cab and 5% merlot. Appealing reddish purple colour. Quite an oaky nose, earthy and leafy too, with a hint of black fruit. Tastes mostly of blackcurrant and American oak, also of mint, fruit cake, coffee, and savoury meatiness. Tannins have integrated, good balance. Drying finish. Drank best after an hour in the decanter.
