89 Points James Halliday
Inky, dense colour; the bouquet is very concentrated, with fruit and oak vying for supremacy. The palate is typical of many of the highest-rated wines out of McLaren Vale, with an amazing depth of flavour which seems to have strong aphrodisiac qualities for American wine writers. For their effete Australian counterparts, cellaring for a minimum of five and preferably ten years seems sensible. Drink to 2015.
