89 Points James Halliday
Full yellow-green, with distinctly greater colour development than the '94; the bouquet is full and complex, with some ever-so-slightly errant barrel-ferment characters. Very rich and full-bodied, it has a huge impact in the mouth, with honeyed/buttery fruit, and not as elegant or tight as the best vintages. Looks to be relatively fast maturing by the standards of Leeuwin. Drink to 2002.
