The NV Brut Blason Rose is a fairly straightforward, fruity rose built on a solid core of fruit. With a little more complexity and generosity on the palate, it could very well merit a higher score. This is Lot L3300755311, no disgorgement date provided. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012.

The aspiration for Blason Rosé is an elegant colour and fruity style, created with red wine of fruity aromas, strong
colour and soft tannin. Perrier-Jouët has been making rosé since 1959 and is currently increasing its production,
though only makes it in vintages in which the red wine is of sufficient quality. 2012 makes for a stronger base than
the bad-tempered 2011 and 2010 seasons, a wine of medium-salmon hue and primary strawberry, raspberry and
even persimmon fruit. Acidity and dosage are evenly married, though firm, grainy tannins lend grip, dusty dryness
and texture to the finish.
