94 Points James Halliday
Full red-purple; the bouquet makes an immediate impact, with its complex, balanced and integrated play of dark fruit aromas and oak. The palate is lusciously rich, full and complex, with ripe berry, cherry and chocolate flavours supported by perfectly judged oak. Amazingly, the wine is bottled direct ex barrel, unfined and unfiltered, something which will provide extraordinary appeal for the Luddite sectors of the American market. Drink to 2013.
