89 Points Robert Parker
The 2006 Mountain Blue Shiraz (83%)-Cabernet Sauvignon (17%) was sourced from a single vineyard in Mudgee on the slopes of the Blue Mountains. It spent 15 months in French and American oak, a mix of new and seasoned. It emits an aromatic array of smoke, Asian spices, violets, blueberry, and blackberry. On the palate black cherry and chocolate flavors emerge along with a touch of cedar. Balanced and moderately lengthy, it will provide enjoyment for another 6-8 years.

94 Points James Halliday
Excellent crimson-purple; the fragrant bouquet leads into a quite complex mix of spicy, savoury blackberry, plum and blackcurrant fruit; 15 months in French and American oak has fined down the tannins without smothering the fruit. Drink to 2016.
