Deep, dense, concentrated red/purple colour: impressive. Bright minty and dark berry fruit aromas. Lively, fresh and intense in the mouth, vibrant and undeveloped, with some shrillness and lots of bold primary fruit and acid. Still a trifle unformed. Needs time.

Deep purple-black in color, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is purely fruited with aromas of ripe black currant, crushed blackberries and cedar plus hints of toast, black olives and cloves. Medium to full-bodied with plenty of ripe black currant and savory flavors, medium-firm fine grained tannins, lively acid and a long finish that is very nicely balanced. Approachable now, it should drink to 2022+.

Deep purple-crimson; a profound, full-bodied cabernet awash with cassis/blackcurrant, mulberry and Coonawarra earth, the tannins ripe and the oak in a support role. From a top-quality vineyard that has revelled in the vintage to produce a very long lived cabernet. Drink to 2040.

This is a powerful and alluring Majella, a vintage of considerable fruit intensity and well-defined structure. It''s a very dark wine, even by Majella standards, with a deep, impenetrable purple hue and a vibrant rim. The bouquet displays wonderful definition and concentration of crunchy, tiny blackcurrants and cassis, accented with bay leaf and tobacco. Impressive fruit power of crunchy blackcurrants and juicy blackberries is the hallmark of the palate, pulling into a well-toned finish of considerable persistence, impressive, firm, finely textured tannins and well-gauged acidity. Drink 2018 - 2026.
