Huon Hooke
Deep, rich, red colour with a purple tint. The bouquet is classic Torbreck and very Barossa, with super-ripe, almost jammy aromas plus some hints of raisin and the beginnings of roasting pan aromas that these wines build with age. It's also very spicy, with some pepper and clove notes - a very complex wine. In the mouth it's soft and fleshy, smooth and almost luxuriously textured. A delicious wine in the full-on Torbreck style.

Medium to deep garnet in color with a touch of purple, the 2010 The Steading is a Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro (Mourvedre) blend that radiates a gorgeous nose of dried mulberries, kirsch and red currant jelly enhanced by a baking spice undercurrent. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated on the palate, it has a medium to firm level of velvety tannins and enough acid to give lift through the long finish. Drink it now to 2022+.

94 Points James Halliday
A blend of grenache, shiraz and mataro that has greater weight and complexity than the colour would suggest, even to the extent of touches of spice and chocolate; the overall balance between fruit, oak and tannins is good, and merits medium-term cellaring. Drink to 2020.
