93 Points Robert Parker
Very deep garnet colored, the 2006 Terra Rossa First Growth offers complex, maturing notes of fruits of the forest compote, black cherry preserves and blackcurrant cordial with hints of dried mint, Mediterranean herbs, forest floor, sandalwood, Ceylon tea and black pepper plus a whiff of game. Very full and concentrated on the palate, the rich fruit is well supported by a firm foundation of grainy tannins and crisp acidity, finishing long and layered. Drink it now to 2020+.
