Ranked #32 of 133 2013 Shiraz from Barossa Valley
Very deep, dark red/black/purple hue and a very rich chocolate/mocha oaky scented bouquet. Super-ripe fruit and strongly-handled oak. It’s massive, chunky and tannic with slight bitterness. Rum and raisin chocolate, fruitcake and dark chocolate, this is a whopping red, which has the goods and will deliver in time. Very big and very oaky, but quite well-balanced. It should be locked away for several years.

94 Points Robert Parker
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Albert Syrah displays a gorgeous nose of violets, crushed blueberries and cherry coulis with touches of rose water, espresso and underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate is still very youthful with tons of fruit, floral and savory layers supported by fine-grained, silky tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with great length.
