Critic & User Reviews

87 Points Robert Parker

Fully mature, this dark garnet-colored (with some amber at the rim) wine reveals an earthy, sweet, weedy, spicy, black cherry-scented nose that hints of overripeness. Some vanillin is also still noticeable in the wine. In the mouth, it is soft and round, with no hard edges, low acidity, and delicious fruit, but this wine requires consumption over the near-term. Anticipated maturity: Now-2001. Last tasted 11/97
