91 Points Robert Parker
The 2003 Shiraz Secret Places emerges from a single vineyard near Greenock, one of the Barossa’s most renowned sectors for Shiraz. Aged in American hogsheads for 24 months (30% new), it is an opaque ruby/purple-tinged, full-flavored effort revealing classic dusty, peppery, blackberry and cassis fruit, wonderful sweetness and purity, a multi-layered texture, and an explosively long 45-second finish. Still young, it should last for 10-20 years.
