Huon Hooke
Deep red, brick-red edge, a little more forward in hue. Very meaty bouquet and forward developed, lots of charcuterie, dry spices, too. Elegantly weighted, leanish, but soft palate with supple powdery tannins and some class. Lovely balance. Developing faster.

Drink: 2011 to 2019
90 Points Robert Parker
The 2000 Shiraz Moonambel is subtle and restrained by Australian standards, but builds incrementally in the mouth to reveal sweet cassis fruit as well as high quality oak, hints of licorice, and a medium-bodied, graceful style. It should drink well for 10-12 years.

96 Points James Halliday
Deep but bright full purple-red; a smooth, classy bouquet with sweet damson plum fruit, followed by the usual immaculately sculpted palate offering sumptuous plum and dark cherry, positive but not overly assertive oak, and lingering, ripe tannins. Drink to 2015.
