Ranked #12 of 20 1995 Shiraz from Barossa Valley
90/100
4 Stars
Huon Hooke
Medium-deep red, still has some purple. Nice balance on nose; smooth and ripe, clean and shows some primary fruit. More meaty than the '94, and drier on palate, with less fruit richness and charm. Polished timber, toasty barrels, savoury, walnut, big tannins dominate the back and finish.

92 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; in typically full-frontal oaky style on the bouquet, but there is lots of fruit to justify that oak. The same play occurs on the palate, with a mix of expansively sweet berry fruit and creamy vanilla oak. Has continued to develop well since its Adelaide Wine Show trophy. Drink to 2010.
