90 Points James Halliday
Full red-purple; the bouquet is of medium ripeness with blackcurrant and cherry fruit aromas. The palate has lots of sweet blackcurrant/cassis and plum fruit balanced by fine, cedary tannins. Gives the impression that it will mature slightly quicker than its predecessors, but be none the worse for that, and is the product of an unusually good vintage. Drink to 2001.
