87 Points Robert Parker
The 1999 Shiraz Underhill's fabulous aromas of bacon fat, smoke, black cherry liqueur, forest floor, and pepper merit a low 90-point score. In the mouth, however, the flavors do not match the aromatic fireworks. The wine is medium-bodied, soft, light, and short in the finish.

89 Points James Halliday
Medium red, showing some signs of early development; the bouquet is quite powerful, with a range of licorice, spice and black cherry; the smooth, almost creamy, texture of the palate with red and black cherry fruit, has a spicy backdrop and soft tannins. Drink to 2009.
