93 Points Robert Parker
The 2009 The Schubert Theorem is a new wine for Standish, coming from vines planted in 1994 and 1999 on the Roennfeldt Road in Marrananga. It’s aged in 1/3 new French oak barriques for 24 months. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it offers a savory scented nose with meat, game and earth notes over aromas of Chinese dried plums, mulberries, smoky bacon, cumin seed and moss covered bark. Full bodied and densely packed with flavor, the richness of fruit is well supported with a medium to firm level of velvety tannins and medium to high acidity, finishing long and savory. Drink it 2013 to 2022+.
