92 Points Robert Parker

Pale ruby-purple in color, the 2010 Reserve Pinot Noir opens with provocative aromas of violets, roses and lavender over a core of red cherries and crushed cranberries with delicate suggestions of rosemary, cinnamon stick and underbrush. Medium-bodied with complex layers of red fruits, baking spices, earth and dried herb flavors, it is supported by a low to medium level of silky tannins and refreshing acid before finishing long. Drink it now to 2018+.

97 Points James Halliday

Bright purple-red, with some depth; a beautiful wine that takes the best characters of the Estate and the Piccadilly Valley, and then multiplies them many times. It is awash with cherry and plum fruit, and has a superb mouthfeel, allowing harmonious access to every nuance, every corner, of the flavours. Drink to 2020.

95 Points James Halliday

Ashton Hills Reserve Pinot Noir is a stake in the ground of Adelaide Hills terroir, a benchmark to which many aspire and one of the most consistently outstanding expressions of the variety anywhere west of Victoria. 2010 is a wine of calm, effortless purity, of glorious fruit expression, capturing intensity and complexity with supple silkiness. Black cherry and black plum fruit contribute considerable presence, without losing the intrinsic elegance of this cool site. There is a refreshing air of rose petals and violets and an undercurrent of fine, silky tannins, making this one of South Australia''s most beautiful pinot noirs. July 2012 release. Drink 2013 - 2018.
