88 Points Robert Parker
The 2008 Phantom Petit Verdot is the most backward wine in the portfolio. Aged 14 months in new French oak, it is opaque purple-colored with a perfume of licorice, lavender, and blackberry. Structured and dense on the palate but a trifle compact at this point, it will require a minimum of 5-7 years of cellaring to become civilized. If this occurs, as I believe it will, my score will appear conservative.
