90 Points Robert Parker
The 'R (dot)' marks Lallier's "revolutionary" new series of Champagnes, which are predominantly based on one harvest (or récolte) and completed with reserve wines. The R.012 Brut contains 81% of the 2012 vintage and blends 27% Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant and Oger, with 54% Pinot Noir from Ay¨, Verzenay, Bouzy and Ambonnay, and adds 19% reserve wines. Clear and elegant, with very delicate and precise sweet cherry, ripe apple, melon and lovely chalk flavors on the aromatic nose, this Brut is round, intense and fruity-elegant on the palate. It is perfectly dry and well-structured by minerals and a perfectly integrated acidity. Very good mid-palate, with a nice finish. Disgorged in April 2015.
