85 Points Robert Parker
Medium garnet/purple, the 2013 Shiraz The Mad Hatter opens to vague baked plum and prune notes with earth and spice box suggestions. Full-bodied, the palate has baked berry/raisiny fruit flavors with tannins that are a little hard and chewy. It has a long and uncomplicated finish.

94 Points James Halliday
Warm with alcohol but an ever-so-seductive offering. Explosive blackberried fruit with bass notes of tar; treble of saltbush and dried woody spice. Oak has mostly soaked straight into the fruit, though a semblance of creamy, musky vanillin remains, and has a most positive influence. Drink to 2028.
