  • What wine gift options does Cellarit offer?

You can mix and match any combination of bottles from thousands of items in stock - if it's listed for sale you can choose it as a gift. Bottles range in price from under $10 to $1,000+ for reds, whites, champagnes, Penfolds Grange, etc., so there's plenty of choice to suit your budget and tastes.

When you purchase a wine gift, there are several flexible delivery and packaging options available to you at checkout:
  • Send your wine gift directly to your recipient's home or office anywhere Australia-wide or internationally
  • Send the gift to yourself - complete with gift packaging & your gift note - if you prefer to present it in person
  • Choose ground freight or air-freight. Air-freight is fantastic for next-day delivery of gifts anywhere in Australia.
  • Choose premium gift packaging (above) or a heavy-duty carton (below) or even a gift pack delivered to you in a heavy-duty carton!
As an alternative to sending a wine gift or if you'd like to let your recipient decide, you can send a gift voucher and so they can choose their own bottle(s)...or use the value for wine storage services...or a combination of both.

  • What delivery information do I need to send a wine gift?

You need the delivery details and phone number for the recipient. It's also important to indicate delivery instructions in the event that nobody is available to sign for your wine gift.

  • I'd like to send a wine gift, what do I do?

See the Top Wine Gifts section for suggestions and choose as many bottles as you like to add to your shopping cart. If you don't find what you're looking for there you can choose bottles from any other section of wine market. Then, click Checkout and fill in the details on the easy-to-use form. You may enter a gift message on the form.

Cellarit accepts Visa, MasterCard and Amex via our secure payment gateway, hosted by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Please note that Amex cards (only) attract a surcharge of 3%.

  • What about sending multiple wine gifts?

It's easy to send multiple wine gifts! Our software remembers your credit card information while your on our website (and discards them when you're finished). After you place your first gift order you'll see a 'new order' button that will take you back to the wine list to choose another gift. Simply repeat the order process (as described above) for each of your gift recipients.

You'll receive an email confirmation/tax invoice, inclusive of a new reference number and tracking link, for each of your gift orders.

  • Are wine gifts packaged in a gift box?

Our primary objective is to deliver your wine gift in one piece, without any breakage! Wine gifts of 1,2 or 3 wine bottles or 1 champagne or 1 magnum bottle are packed into styrofoam holders and then into special gift boxes (see the picture at the top of this page). Larger wine and champagne gift orders (or combined wine and champagne gift orders) are packed in Cellarit cartons (see the picture at right).

Note: items listed as "original presentation box" are packed into Cellarit outer cartons. They are not placed into the special Cellarit gift boxes because they don't fit the bottle-shaped styrofoam cut-out.

  • Is the payment process safe & secure?

Yes, Cellarit protects your credit card and personal information by going above and beyond the typical e-commerce security arrangements. Cellarit uses the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) Online Secure Commweb Payment gateway featuring the 3-D-Secure Verified by Visa (VBV) and MasterCard SecureCode (MCSC) protocols. Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode are new ways to add safety when you buy online. If you are enrolled & registered with your existing Visa or MasterCard credit card you will be asked to enter a secure code or a password depending on your bank*

  • Is there a GST charge on wine gifts?

All wine prices on the Cellarit website are in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST. You'll receive a full tax invoice on all wine gift purchases.
