89 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; the bouquet is rich, with the contribution of the French oak quite evident, resulting in a mix of cedar and spice aromas. The palate is complex and savoury, in radically different style to the glorious direct fruit of the '98 Moonambel. The oak, too, is just a little assertive, however good it may be. Drink to 2009.
