90 Points Robert Parker
The 2001 Blend exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as a vivid nose of black cherries and berries, medium to full body, and a plump, rich, concentrated style with excellent purity, ripeness, and texture. What a difference a vintage makes. Drink this beauty over the next 7-8 years.

90 Points James Halliday
Complex flavours, each of the varietal components adding to the whole; appealing sweetness from the Grenache, balanced tannins from the Cabernet, Shiraz providing the mainframe. Drink to 2011.

Sweet, rich with fine grains tempered with slightly over ripe with dusty dehydrated fruit and notes of graphite or even bitumen. 15% Alcohol is warmish without being overtly hot. Drink Now

Subdued blackberry jam aromas, alcohol also evident. Concentrated dark fruit, chocolate and pepper on the palate, nice fine tannins. Up to that point, a pretty good drop. Unfortunately, for my taste, too much alcohol heat is prominent on the finish, and lingers for minutes. Drink Now
