Huon Hooke
Very light yellow colour. Slaty, mineral, yeast and buttered toast aromas coupled with lifted lemon, lime and honey. It's quite Germanic on nose, but the palate is close to dry, and it's a trifle austere compared to the Bendigo version. There is some sweetness, but it's more than balanced out by the acidity, which is mouth-watering and delicious and not at all hard or austere. Very, very good off-dry riesling style. (24 grams per litre sweetness)
