Deep, dark red/purple colour, with a lovely perfume of violets and roses, the fruit doing all the talking, cabernet cassis speaking clearly. The palate is medium to full-bodied but not as hefty as it might be, and the tannins are tight and gritty, with a distinctly sappy quality. A trace of bitterness lingers. It needs food and time
