Intense purple hue. Blackberries, bramble and cedar shavings on the nose. Medium to full palate-weight, dark fruits and quite intense earthy savoury elements. A deep and brooding wine with a firm tannin framework. Impressive how complex and balanced this wine is at such a young age

Fruit from Wilyabrup and Wallcliffe; matured for 9 months in French oak (20% new). Sweet, juicy and ripe. Verging on simple and very, very young. The fruit has a syrupy, sarsaparilla character to it and it will most certainly benefit from another year in bottle. Drink to 2036.
