Huon Hooke
Medium-full ruby with tints of purple and brick-red, smoky meat aromas, the palate refined and highly tensioned, with delicacy and finesse. A high-toned and aromatic wine, delicate and focused, with excellent length and line. A wine that transcends its price-point and faithfully represents the Mornington high country. Love the energy and finesse of this wine.

A much paler hue than Down the Hill, which isn’t surprising and it is lighter and more fragrant in a way. The fruit is destemmed yet it has an appealing bunchy character, tangy and juicy, too. An intriguing waft of mocha cream and hazelnut pops up, plus all sorts of cherry accents. It’s juicy and led by acidity with tannins in tow. Drink to 2031.
