Notes of oyster shells, fennel and baked golden delicious apples on the nose. It’s a finely styled palate, flavours of apples, grapefruit pith and sweet spices are in the mix. This carries a lot of flavours yet it doesn’t feel weighty, rather it's seamless and elegant in its composure. There's a thrilling sense to the purity of fruit, winemaking work supports and doesn't overshadow. It's edgy and tense and feels very young. Give this time to come into itself, although it's a head-turning drop right now. Pockets of saline acidity emerge on the finish

As of vintage 2021, all MRE labels have undergone a respectful modest facelift, just fresher and more modern. The wine is still stamped strongly with the estate DNA. Ripe stone fruit, lemon and grilled peach, a little flinty, creamy and a touch of oyster shell brininess. The palate fleshes out with lots of texture yet the fine acidity keeps this on an even keel. Lovely. Drink to 2031.
