Deep, youthful, bright red/purple colour; the berry-like aroma laced with subtle angelica-like aromatic notes. It's firm and sinewy in the mouth, with slightly sappy tannins, the palate medium to full-bodied and nicely smooth and rounded. The tannins disturb the harmony on the finish with a solid kick. There's some nice fruit sweetness buried in the palate. It will reward more cellaring.
