The 2008 Charmes-Chambertin flows across the palate with layers of dark, spices fruit. It shows excellent, even surprising textural richness for the year, if less focus than some of the house’s other 2008s. Still, it is a beautiful, round 2008 that should drink well relatively early. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2026. Drink 2014 - 2026.
