Deep ruby with a hint of purple in the rim, the bouquet suggests forest floor and briars, especially a eucalyptus forest, including a little mint, while the palate is full bodied and fleshy, supple textured and savoury with ample powdery tannins and excellent balance. There's a lovely core of fruit sweetness. It may have a slightly firmer backbone that usual for this wine.
