Medium-full depth of colour, ruby tinged with purple, the bouquet offering herbal/Campari notes at first sniff, balsamic herbs and darker cherry aromas, notes of five spice emerging with time in the glass. A really beautiful nose! The palate is tightly focused and refined, subtle and intense, with ample tannins adding a certain firmness to the follow-through. It's lovely now but will be even more rewarding with another year or so in the bottle.
