Deep and bright red-purple; with sweet blackberry/dark-plum aromas, laced with dried herbs, the fruit doing the talking. Traces of chocolate. Full bodied and fleshy, rounded and supple, with plenty of tannin supplying structure and crunch at the finish. Firm aftertaste: there's a lot of grip for a grenache. Very good value when tasted beside Les Amis.
