Deep-ish, bright purple hue in the glass; savoury notes of dried herbs, terracotta and brown spices on the nose, a hint of dark plum, repeated on the palate where it's again savoury and the powdery tannins are drying and leave the finish clean and refreshed. There's an excellent core of sweet ripe fruit deep inside the wine and the earthy/peppery note of mataro comes through.
