So the premium chardonnay has its mojo back. Excellent news. Tightly focused with pristine fruit of sliced lemon, white peach, powdered ginger, sea spray and umami/nougatine lees, creamy, too, with the oak superbly integrated. Complex, detailed and flavoursome with chalky acidity that corrals all those flavours in obedience finishing long and pure. What a wine. Drink 2023 - 2035.

Mid-yellow colour, the bouquet is strong on mealy, creamy yeast lees, buttery bread-crust and stone-fruit aromas and flavours including a trace of parmesan. The palate is soft and round, ample and creamy, the finish is clean and dry. It's a generous, concentrated and layered style of chardonnay. 30 Jun 2023 Drink 2024 - 2031.
