Stewed red and black plum, raspberry and dried rose petals make way for a red-berry-centric core. Fine, chewy tannins frame the fruit and temper the red berry flavours, tailing off with a savoury finish

Brand new to the Wild Duck Creek Estate stable….Red Duck GSM is an extension of my obsession with southern Rhone blends. It’s no secret that GSM blends work incredibly well in the warmer regions of Australia. Our ambition here is to create a blend that is awash with intense flavour and velvety texture, yet have some elegance to it. Harnessing the vibrancy and acidity of Heathcote Grenache, the succulence of Heathcote Shiraz, and the softness of Heathcote Mataro. Red Duck is a wine you will hopefully over time associate with just pure deliciousness! Matured in seasoned French oak Foudre and small barrels for 16 months. This is a red for summertime drinking so we have decided to release it with the whites. This wine will become a staple from us.
Dark red with a bright red hue. Aromas of violets, blackberry, raspberry, baking spices and anise. Medium bodied, the 2024 Red Duck has ‘electric guitar energy’ (according to Luke), succulent fruit flavours of raspberry, blueberry and plum alongside cured meat and spice. Natural acidity lightens and refreshes the palate. Tannins are soft and supple, driving the wine to a long finish. 14.4% Vol.
