Fermented with a small percentage of whole bunches and whole berries, in 2T open-top fermenters. Matured 14 months in large-format French oak. Catches your attention immediately from the glossy, garnet hues to the wonderfully aromatic scents that erupt from the glass: cinnamon-spiced dark berries, plum, dusty cacao, earth and white pepper. Juicy, fine, even and taut. And the tannins? They are nicely honed. Drink 2021 - 2025.

Purple-tinged, ruby-red in colour, this is very fragrant with aromas of berry pastille, liqueur cherry chocolates, spice, and a savoury hint of reduction. A round and succulent middleweight mouthful follows, ripe in sustained flavour and tangy with mouth-watering acidity. The tannins are soft and easy. Lovely balance. Very good. 28 Mar 2022 Drink 2022 - 2030.
