94 Points James Halliday
Dense purple-red; an almost impenetrable array of black fruits dominate the bouquet, with some savoury aspects, and well-balanced and integrated oak. The strong, dense and potent palate has lots of bitter chocolate flavours along with the riper black fruit spectrum of the bouquet; a long, lingering finish has powerful but balanced tannins, and likewise oak. I have beaten the alcohol horse enough to say no more. Drink to 2016.

The 1999 Shiraz Georgia's Paddock may merit an outstanding rating. The dense purple color is accompanied by abundant quantities of blackberries, pepper, and melted asphalt in its muscular, full-bodied yet supple-textured personality. Remarkably, the lofty alcohol (15.5%) is well-concealed in the rich, fruity, glycerin-filled finish. Drink this 1999 over the next decade.
