88 Points James Halliday
Medium red-purple; the moderately intense bouquet has a mix of savoury, earthy, cedary aromas, those cedary oak characters coming through quite clearly on the palate. There is a typical core of red berry fruit on the mid palate, then lingering, fine tannins on the finish. Overall, an austere style, but none the worse for that. Drink to 2008.
