Medium brick-red colour. Dusty, earthy and slightly leathery 'old wine' bouquet. Quite savoury and not much fruit left here. Intense, direct and taut, with a leanness and savouriness that borders on bony. Still drinking well, and has years to go, although it's not a great vintage and doesn't have a lot of flesh or primary fruit on show.
