Huon Hooke
Deep red colour, hardly any brick tinges, but still has a trace of purple. Fresh, youthfully undeveloped aroma, a trace of mint, and lots of dried herb aroma and flavour. Intense, refined, elegant and stylish. Balanced and very long. Smart wine, still with years to go. 24% Eden Valley.

Medium red-purple; there are distinct minty notes to the fruit, which come and go in ripe Barossa Shiraz. The palate has soft, easy cherry/mint fruit, nicely handled oak and fine tannins. Elegant, but once again, I would have hoped for a touch more concentration. Drink to 2011.
