Deep, bright red colour with very little browning; all-round fresh and vibrant. Intense and complex bouquet of dark fruits, 'roasting pan' aromas and cigarbox hints, with no remnants of American oak, and the tannins quite soft and easy on the tongue. A beautifully mature, mellow cabernet of spot-on ripeness, delicious flavour and character. A much better bottle than at the last Rewards of Patience. (From my cellar) Drink 2013 - 2025.
