Medium to full purple-red; a complex, rich bouquet with licorice and dark plum/cherry fruit marries well with sweet oak. A wine which starts well and gets even better on the palate, with abundant licorice and black cherry fruit, well-balanced and integrated oak, and finishing with good tannins. Drink to 2011.

Goulburn Valley. Medium purple-red; a high-toned bouquet with a mix of juicy berry aromas and a quite pronounced overlay of mint. The palate is complex and interesting; the grenache seems to have made a major contribution to what are quite complex fruit flavours, again with a strong strand of Central Victorian mint coming through. Drink to 2002.
