Huon Hooke
Deep red, purple tints. Traces of blackberry cherry confiture, lovely rich surmaturite character. Essency, with delicious fruit and sweetness in mouth, then a softer, lighter tannin strcture than usual with this maker. Stylish wine. Lovely balance and drinkability.

Medium red-purple, lighter than usual, although the hue is good; the moderately intense and clean bouquet has damson plum and cherry with a hint of spice and subtle oak; the palate is nicely balanced, but, like the bouquet, lighter than usual. Drink to 2011.
