Huon Hooke
Exceptional vintage. Remarkable colour of deepish red with brick-red edges. Intense and fragrant with power and complexity. Roasting meat juices. It's surprisingly youthful and bold with great intensity of concentrated flavour, immense persistence and style. A big wine, make no mistake. A 'stonking' wine! One of the best-ever vintages at Henschke, and this wine fulfils all expectations. Great wine.

94 Points Robert Parker
Deep brick color, the 1986 Hill of Grace is a well-defined nose of dried mulberries and kirsch with hints of truffles, menthol, earth and cigar boxes. Medium-bodied with good fruit concentration and plenty of savory, spicy layers of flavors, it has bright acid, medium-firm, grainy tannins and a long finish. It is mature.
