Dense red-purple; a rich, concentrated cherry and blackberry-accented bouquet is followed by a palate with dense, ripe fruit. Just when you are poised to give the wine gold medal points, powerful tannins grip the finish, taking no prisoners. The wine may come into balance, but I really think the tannins will outlive the fruit. Drink to 2015.
